New Jersey Shore - The Mill at Spring Lake Heights

The Mill at Spring Lake Heights August 2, 2004 Recently, I had the opportunity to dine at "The Mill at Spring Lake Heights" and was excited, as I had not been there for a while.

I, along with three friends, decided to celebrate a birthday on a lovely evening in July. We chose "The Mill" because we had heard about the renovations and were anxious to see what had been done to this old favorite.

We couldn’t have been more pleased. The attentive staff decorated our table with balloons for our birthday guest. Our reservation was honored exactly on time and we had a wonderful waitress who catered to our every dining need.

We were pleasantly surprised to see a Daily Special Menu that included soup or salad, entrée, dessert and coffee all for just $16.95. The food was wonderful and deliciously prepared to perfection.

We understand that The Mill is under new ownership. They are doing a great job. Our compliments to Matt, the manager who, we have been told, has been working very hard to maintain the high standards of this fine establishment.

There was, however, one minor miscommunication between table and kitchen. One of my dinner companions ordered their entrée to be served with its sauce on the side. However, when it came to table, sauce covered the entrée. Our waitress quickly removed the plate and, within a few minutes, returned with the entrée exactly as ordered.
